Defining Support Structure

Integrated Logistics Support includes support elements such as: training, user and maintenance manuals, spares, software support, databases and tools, maintenance sites, packaging practices, handling, storage and transport.

This includes:

● Preparing and organizing maintenance, defining maintenance concepts and planning preventive and progressive maintenance. Founded on reliability, maintainability and availability studies, this is the element that synthesizes other support elements,
● Support and technical assistance workforce,
● Employee support training, both initial and continuing throughout the system life cycle,
● Procurement support, spare parts, changes and supplies,
● Means of support and equipment,
● Technical data necessary for both the primary and support systems, notably technical facts and configuration management,
● Infrastructure and facilities necessary for the implementation and maintenance of the system,
● All “packaging, handling, storage, and transport” concerns,
● IT support for support systems.

A tenth element includes responding to the needs of integrated management in connection with the operation of the system. This includes defining and managing technical, computer, (logistical data exchanges) and organizational interfaces between support elements and the engineering/operating of the system.

Multi-project Operational Safety/Integrated Logistics Support

RAMS is constantly used within projects developed by REEL.

In order to continue developing while ensuring a certain flexibility in dividing activities, REEL sought to delegate related tasks to an external company over a two-month period.

RAMS activities completed by Sector on the present work primarily include renovating handling systems for CEA sites in Saclay and Marcoule.
