Lyon Hospitals: Developing Risk Management Proficiency

While defining a comprehensive and coordinated risk management policy, SECTOR helped institute clusters of medical activity (Risks, Health, and Vigilance). SECTOR assisted medical, paramedical and administrative personnel to develop risk management skills, including:
● Risk Awareness
● Risk management measures at the hospital, including:
- A module specially designed for Nurse anesthetists (IADE)
- A module dedicated to developing a method for preemptively identifying risks

Safety Analysis to Change Operating Procedures for Radio Alert Systems

Studied safety level maintenance and human elements intrinsic to applying new rules surrounding radio alerts and light signal alerts in the French National Railway Network:

Studied risks of new operating procedures for radio alerts, allowing comparison between security levels previously obtained and current levels (GALE approach), identifying human elements. This was done to address evolving European regulations, including changing guidelines for conduct and operation across the national network.

Supported SOH project

Support for SOH project: identified socio-organizational and human impact in power plant modification projects.

Analyzed the use of the deadman switch system as autopilot on the RER B train

Achieved an international benchmark using the deadman switch system in urban railway networks as semi-automatic train operation (GOA2).

Identified different situations for use of VACMA, completed analysis of risks to safety and regulatory (taking into account the behaviour of RATP/SNCF agents and riders) to assist in the decision-making process.
